I CREATE A SAFE, WARM AND EMPATHETIC SPACE WHERE MY CLIENTS FEEL TRULY UNDERSTOOD AND THEIR FEELINGS ARE VALIDATED.

WHY I BECAME A THERAPIST

Some cultures don’t talk about mental health very much. I am passionate about working with diverse populations and providing support to people from communities that don’t have mental health as a focus. As your therapist, it’s important to me that you feel seen and understood, and that our work together empowers you to find resilience and healing within your unique background!

I BECAME A THERAPIST TO HELP CLIENTS NAVIGATE LIFE’S CHALLENGES AND CONNECT WITH THEIR STRENGTHS.

THERAPY IS NOT ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL. CLIENTS’ HARDSHIPS AND CHALLENGES ARE SHAPED BY THEIR ENVIRONMENTS, TRADITIONS, CULTURES, AND UNIQUE BACKGROUNDS. I STRIVE TO CREATE A NONJUDGMENTAL AND INCLUSIVE ENVIRONMENT WHERE ALL CLIENTS FEEL SAFE AND EMPOWERED TO EXPRESS THEIR MOST AUTHENTIC SELVES.

My goal is to foster a space that encourages openness and trust. Every client has a unique story that they bring into therapy, and it is an honor as a therapist to hold each person’s story while witnessing their growth and transformation. Therapy is a safe space to help you heal from your past traumas, work through life’s challenges and find the success you’ve always wanted.

When I work with clients, I incorporate THREE THINGS to create positive change:

trust | acceptance | strengths

When working with clients, I focus on a strengths based approach to empower clients to build self-efficacy and confidence in their abilities to navigate hardships. I also like to focus on a systemic approach to explore how various systems have impacted clients’ lives in order to recognize clients’ backgrounds and collaboratively explore and develop more holistic approaches.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with emerging adults, adults, and teens who may be experiencing a big or small life change, anxiety, depression, PTSD, intergenerational trauma, or grief. I also help people who are facing challenges with intercultural relationships.

My specialization is helping emerging adults who are experiencing life transitions, helping them navigate hardships to build the skills needed to flourish and grow.

WHAT IF I HAVE A HARD TIME OPENING UP?

It’s normal to feel guarded or struggle to open up when first starting therapy. As your therapist, I strive to create a nonjudgemental and comfortable environment for you to express yourself when you are ready. Discomfort may be common among initial sessions, but with time, we will work together to overcome this and go with a pace you feel most comfortable with!
