WHY I BECAME A THERAPIST
I believe we all deserve to feel seen, heard, and understood. As a therapist, I want to help you explore your pain, fears, and struggles so that you can begin to remove those barriers and start building a life of happiness and fulfillment. I will help you develop self-compassion and self-acceptance, and will walk alongside you as you discover your own truth and authentic self.
I BECAME A THERAPIST TO HELP PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THOSE STRUGGLING AND TO BE AN AVENUE OF STRENGTH AND CHANGE FOR PEOPLE.
WHEN I WORK WITH CLIENTS, WE FOCUS ON IDENTITY AND THE TRUE SELF IN ORDER FOR THEM TO FIND HAPPINESS AND REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL.
James Baldwin once wrote, “I believe that if we understood ourselves better, we would damage ourselves less.” Our truest and most authentic selves are always longing for us to notice them. Rooted in a self-compassionate approach, I aim to help you get to know your true self in all aspects of your life—relationships, personal life, work, etc., so that you may live a more honest, liberated, and fulfilling life.
When I work with clients, I incorporate THREE THINGS to create positive change:
authenticity | self-compassion | acceptance
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, religious trauma, and major life changes, as well as couples facing relationship challenges. I also work with individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community, especially gender expansive and sexually diverse clients and their partners.
My area of expertise is helping individuals and couples work through the barriers to happiness and fulfillment.
