WHY I WANT TO BECOME A THERAPIST

I am passionate about understanding and supporting each individual as they navigate their own psyche and share their unique story.  I thoroughly enjoy creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where people can discover their own strengths, build resilience and self-compassion, and develop skills they can use to live life on their own terms.

I WANT TO BECOME A THERAPIST TO HELP GUIDE PEOPLE THROUGH THE CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES IN THEIR LIVES THAT CAN OFTEN FEEL OVERWHELMING AND SCARY.

WHEN I WORK WITH CLIENTS, I support THEM in creating meaningful change, building resilience, and navigating life’s big challenges and transitions.

Every client is different, and I always use a person-centered approach. By utilizing humanistic and cognitive behavioral therapy, I can create a session that is truly unique to you. One of the first aspects I seek to understand in each client and case is where your joy and passions reside. These elements often serve as the driving forces in our daily lives and provide valuable insight into our needs and aspirations. By using this understanding as a guiding principle, we can work toward shaping a life that offers you genuine fulfillment and satisfaction. My hope is to help you develop the tools and confidence you need to live a more fulfilling and joyful life on your own terms.

When I work with clients, I incorporate THREE THINGS to create positive change:

CURIOSITY | CALMNESS | VULNERability

My therapeutic style is calm and supportive. I strive to create this environment so that clients can feel assured that, even when sharing difficult or emotionally activating memories, they remain in a safe space where they can embrace their own knowing and vulnerability with confidence and ease. I seek to understand clients through the lens of their own values.

WHO I WORK WITH

I work with children, teens, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma/ PTSD, and those who are adjusting to big life transitions. I also specialize in working with people who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with disabilities, and people who have ADHD or ASD.

My area of expertise is helping those struggling with trauma to help navigate feelings of overwhelm. I also help neurodivergent individuals develop tools for both emotional and sensory regulation.

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?

Feelings of fear or skepticism around trying therapy again is normal, expected, and valid. As a therapist, my goal is to tailor your care to what works for you and helps you to create the change you wish to see. I’ll work with you to help us discover, together, what that path is. I will always encourage feedback on what is and what isn’t working for you. Your experience is my number one priority, and I’ll always be open to learning alongside you.

The anxiety isn't about your account balance. It's about what money has always meant.

Money anxiety doesn't always show up as panic. Sometimes it sounds like vigilance, second guessing, or a pressure that never quite turns off.

There's often more happening underneath than we realize.

It doesn’t have to be something big to be worth noticing.

A small shift, a moment that felt different, a version of you that showed up in a new way.

That counts too.
