GET TO KNOW YOUR THERAPIST
WHY I BECAME A THERAPIST
A person’s life is made up through their unique stories and experiences. Each individual is the owner of their story. As a therapist, I work to understand each client through their subjective experience and create space to process what the experience means to that person. I believe that therapy should honor, validate, and work within the client’s lived experience, while also helping them to take responsibility for their own personal growth.
I BECAME A THERAPIST TO HELP YOU FEEL EMPOWERED TO BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF.
WHEN I WORK WITH CLIENTS, I USE A STRENGTHS-BASED AND CLIENT-CENTERED APPROACH INCORPORATED WITH MINDFULNESS AND COMPASSION. I HELP CLIENTS EXPLORE THEIR PAST, AND IDENTIFY HOW THEY CAN CHANGE THEIR FUTURE. I FOCUS A LOT ON CREATING A STRONG THERAPEUTIC RELATIONSHIP, AS I FIND TRUST TO BE A KEY FACTOR IN HELPING CLIENTS EMBRACE THE CHANGES THEY WANT TO MAKE IN LIFE.
Every client is different and I use an integrative approach to meet your own individual needs. During our work together, I will help you identify your strengths and embrace your experiences in order to cultivate self-acceptance and personal growth. Through self-exploration, we can work to shift limiting beliefs and identify a fresh perspective that aligns with your goals and values. I will help you make meaning of your own lived experiences and find motivation and hope for the future you wish to create.
When I work with clients, I incorporate THREE THINGS to create positive change:
strengths | lived experience | accountability
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life changes. I specialize in couples facing relationship challenges, infidelity, and non-traditional relationship preferences such as BDSM, kink, and consensual non- monogamous relationships. I also work with individuals and couples in the LGBTQ+ community, especially gender expansive and sexually diverse clients and their partners.
My area of expertise is helping individuals and couples work through the barriers to happiness and fulfillment.
