GET TO KNOW YOUR THERAPIST
WHY I BECAME A THERAPIST
Life is full of challenging moments of emotional discomfort, struggle and uncertainty. When we are overwhelmed or in the midst of a difficult transition, it can sometimes feel like we will never get through it.
I BECAME A THERAPIST TO SUPPORT CLIENTS TO FIND A PATH THROUGH THESE CHALLENGING TIMES, FEEL AT PEACE AND FIND RELIEF FROM THE STRUGGLE THEY ARE EXPERIENCING.
I Believe the relationship between client and therapist allows CLIENTS TO TRULY BE SEEN, ACCEPTED AND CARED FOR, EVEN IN LIFE’S DARKEST MOMENTS.
I ALSO BELIEVE IN PARTNERING WITH MY CLIENTS TO FIND A PATH TO A MORE FULFILLING AND GRATIFYING LIFE.
The therapeutic relationship allows for collaboration and compassion to support self-acceptance, change and growth.
When I work with clients, I focus on:
trust | understanding | self-acceptance
With warmth, empathy and trust, I create a non-judgmental space for clients to share their unique story. Through compassion and creativity, I support my clients to discover their values and unique personality traits. Together we identify thoughts, behaviors, and relational patterns that may contribute to present day distress.
I also integrate Brené Brown’s powerful research of vulnerability, courage, shame, and empathy in my work with clients, utilizing techniques and strategies to help individuals integrate it into their personal and professional lives.
WHO I WORK WITH
I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transition issues. I specialize in working with older teens and emerging adults who are adjusting to new phases in their lives, having difficulties dating or in their relationships, or looking for support to identify coping strategies to manage life’s challenges.
My area of expertise is working with teens and emerging adults learning to navigate life in the real world or change unhealthy relationship patterns.
